What exactly does WP Rocket do?

This article shows all the features included in WP Rocket has to optimize a WordPress website.

Note: WP Rocket can adjust the settings when certain plugins, themes, and hosting environments are detected. Also, the settings can be modified by a third-party.

Automatic features

The following features are fully automated, and they are not represented on WP Rocket’s settings page:

Default settings

The following settings are activated or configured by default when you activate WP Rocket for the first time:

If you ever want to reset the WP Rocket settings to the defaults, you can:
  • Disable all options except the above. 
  • Or, delete and reinstall WP Rocket.

Rocket Insights tab

The Rocket Insights add-on helps you monitor the performance grade of your website based on specific pages.

File Optimization tab

The options found in this tab apply on the CSS and JavaScript assets of the website:

Media tab

The options in this tab optimize the images and fonts of your site:

Preload tab

The features in this tab improve the navigation in the site:
